Breville's parts and accessories are expensive and proprietary — you can't substitute generic bowls or blades. The food processor category in general has a limited lifespan compared to simpler kitchen tools because of motor brushes and drive coupling wear. The Breville is large and takes up significant counter space. The lid locking mechanism can become stiff over time. Customer service for warranty claims gets mixed reviews. Not as repairable as a Cuisinart, which has a larger parts aftermarket.
